This was no ordinary pub quiz!
Travellers Aid annual trivia night brings together your everyday trivia novice with the experienced pub veteran for a night of laughs, prizes and fundraising all for a great cause.
Travellers Aid provides support, advice and assistance to the travelling public including people with special requirements. Their work to provide end to end support for those journeying into Melbourne plays a crucial role in making Melbourne the worlds most liveable city. A key component of the visitor journey, the selfless work of staff and volunteers is a worthy cause and the Young Tourism Network was proud to be a supporter on the night with one lucky trivia quiz winning two tickets to Mel Neil’s not to be missed professional development event in October.
A room full of teams battled it out for the top gong and raised thousands of dollars along the way. Held at William Angliss renowned student lead function space, the guests indulged in nibbles and drinks with the by the amazing culinary and hospitality students who cooked, served and poured drinks throughout the night.
In the end it was not to be for the YTN/VTIC table as the team limped to fifth place. However, it was worth every second to support a worthy cause. Joined by other tourism industry teams across events, hospitality and tourism the night was a huge success.
