YTN AGM

How time flies! We at the Young Tourism Network held our Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 30th October at the VTIC Office on Collins St.

At this meeting we reviewed our activities and finances for the FY 2017/18, closing another successful year of tourism development and networking.

We welcomed our members and partners to the meeting and also announced our newly elected committee members.

Bennett Pascoe – outgoing Committee Member reflects on his past two years with Young Tourism Network (YTN):

“While the time has certainly passed by quickly our achievements as a committee will continue the outstanding legacy of past committee members. We put on many great events, ran famil programs, professional development series and connected with industry and students. Undoubtedly receiving the 2017 RACV Victoria Tourism Industry Council (VTIC) Tourism Award for ‘Outstanding Contribution by Volunteers’ was a well-earned accolade and one that we can be proud of. There are many tangible benefits of volunteering on a committee, however it was the camaraderie, community and sense of giving back to the industry that I will cherish most.”
