A lot of groundwork is done to build and grow a business. From the development of corporate relationships to implementing sales strategies and then following through to the end product, we know as the guest experience. But how is this achieved and how does it affect the success of tourism businesses?
Join us as Richard Currer and Jon Perrett explore the ins and outs of ultimate guest experiences and core business responsibilities used to see businesses thrive by creating and maintaining important partnerships.
Richard (or Dickie as he is known in the industry) is the lucky soul tasked with showcasing the Fun to be had with Funlab, one of Australia’s largest entertainment companies. Whether he has a putter in hand at Holey Moley Golf Club, is bowling a Turkey at Strike Bowling or is behind the wheel of a bumper car at Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq, he is always looking for ways to elevate his brands and for the next fun business opportunity!
Jon grew up in the golf industry with his father designing golf courses around the world with 5 times British Open winner Peter Thomson. After starting his professional career in at a law firm in Collins St, Jon moved full time in to the golf industry in 2009 when he set up his business Best In Golf Group. Over the past 10 years Jon has worked with various clients in the industry as a sales and marketing specialist and over the past 4 years has organised golf trips for over 5000 golfers in his role as the Golf Manager for Air Adventure, a private charter tour operator. Jon began with Air Adventure in 2016 after taking a group of his clients to King Island with Air Adventure. He was blown away by how spectacular the courses were and wanted to help others experience such an amazing place. Jon has utilised his industry partnership and sales and marketing expertise to drive bookings and has also created and run over 10 events in Tasmania including two professional PGA events and 3 charity events which have raised over $50k for Make-A-Wish Foundation.
